US and Saudi Arabia Announce Major Investment and Arms Deals in Riyadh
The United States and Saudi Arabia have signed landmark agreements in Riyadh, including a $600 billion Saudi investment pledge in the US and a $142 billion arms deal, strengthening economic and defense ties between the two nations.
US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman finalized the deals on May 13, 2025. The $600 billion investment will focus on US energy, technology, and infrastructure, while the arms agreement-the largest in US history-covers advanced defense systems and upgrades for Saudi forces.
Both leaders hailed the agreements as transformative for economic growth and regional security. The deals also include cooperation in energy innovation and cultural exchanges, marking a new chapter in US-Saudi relations.
