Nigeria's Super Falcons are the undisputed kings of African women's football, with a perfect record no other team can match: 10 WAFCON titles from 10 finals played.

The 10 title years: 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2024/25 (final played July 2025).
Notable finals:

1998 – The inaugural title, launching the dynasty.

2000 – Defended the crown, beating hosts South Africa 2-0.

2002 & 2004 – Beat Ghana (2-0) then Cameroon (5-0), with Perpetua Nkwocha emerging as the tournament's top scorer and eventual all-time leading WAFCON goalscorer.

2006 – Edged Ghana again, 1-0.
2010 – After missing out in 2008 (when Equatorial Guinea broke their streak), Nigeria roared back with a 4-2 win over Equatorial Guinea.

2014 & 2016 – Beat Cameroon in both finals (2-0, then 1-0 as hosts).

2018 – Won on penalties (4-3) against South Africa after a goalless final.

2024/2025 – The historic 10th: a stunning comeback from 2-0 down to beat hosts Morocco 3-2, with Esther Okoronkwo scoring a penalty before setting up Jennifer Echegini's winner.

Only two teams have ever beaten them to a title: Equatorial Guinea (2008, 2012) and South Africa (2022, their maiden win).

Nigeria is now defending champion at the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco, chasing an 11th title in a Group C that includes Malawi, Algeria and Botswana.
