The Champions League quarter finals came to an end yesterday. Manchester city and Inter Milan confirmed their place in the next round along with AC Milan and Real Madrid. It was a tight affair at the Allianz Arena and San Siro, both matches ended in a draw which was good enough for City and Inter to go through.
Bayern fans will be feeling let down by their board and there are rumors Oliver Kahn might soon be out of the CEO position in Bayern. The German board took a huge gamble, sacking Julian Nagelsmann two weeks before the important clash with City and it seems to have backfired. Bayern are out of the Champions League and DFB Pokal and are just two points above rivals, Borussia Dortmund.
Napoli fans might feel they deserve to go, given the fact they dominated both legs against Milan. Milan put on a good compact defensive display and took their chances with Rafael Leao leading their attack brilliantly. Despite having their talisman, Victor Osimhen back in their line up, it wasn't enough to see them through to the next round.
The Semi final round brings up some interesting clashes. Derby della Madonnina also known as the Milan Derby, AC Milan vs Inter Milan will hold on the 10th and 16th of May while Champions League holders, Real Madrid will take on Pep Guardiola's Manchester City on the 9th and 17th of May.
