U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to Meet Ghislaine Maxwell on Epstein Files
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is set to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, as the Justice Department intensifies efforts to uncover more details in the Epstein investigation.
The Justice Department confirmed that Todd Blanche has contacted Maxwell’s legal team to arrange a meeting, aiming to determine whether she is willing to provide new information about Epstein’s network and high-profile associations. This marks the first official outreach to Maxwell from top DOJ leadership.
The move follows growing public and political pressure on the department to release more details related to the Epstein case, especially after a DOJ-FBI memo reaffirmed that Epstein’s 2019 death was a suicide and denied the existence of a “client list.”
Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, confirmed discussions are underway and said his client “will always testify truthfully.” Blanche emphasized that “no one is above the law,” and that the department will pursue “every lead in the interest of justice.”
The meeting is expected to take place within the coming days.
