Israelis Head to Polls in Parliamentary Elections.
Israelis are heading to the polls today, October 27, to elect members of the country’s parliament, with 7,331,981 people eligible to cast their votes.
Voting is taking place at 12,018 regular polling stations across the country as citizens participate in the election to determine the composition of the 120-seat Knesset, Israel’s parliament.
Most polling stations are scheduled to open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, while some stations in smaller communities and special facilities will operate on shorter schedules.
The election will determine the makeup of the next parliament, with political parties competing for seats and the opportunity to form a governing coalition.
Official results are expected after voting ends and ballots are counted.
